The deal was signed between the two countries during Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina’s visit to India in January this year. The Cabinet meeting has given the charge of further scrutinising the MoU before the Government finally ratifies it to Finance Minister AMA Muhith, Planning Minister Air Vice-Marshal (Retd) AK Khandaker and economic affairs Adviser to the PM Dr.

Fortuitously, as Greece struggles in financial meltdown, its satirists are this year’s stars of the Cartoon Festival exhibition in Shrewsbury. They are funnier than I had (naively) expected, but what struck me most was the glee with which these modern Greek cartoonists plunge into their heritage of myth for inspiration in their fiscal crisis.

As just about the only game show that Britain had not previously imported from America, the TV leaders’ debates made a lot of people uncomfortable. They seemed to reduce the election campaign to a popularity contest between three guys — and their choice of tie.
