J & A Master Bedroom, Day 4:: Painted Board & Batten (and a Case of Live & Learn)

Yesterday, I primed all of the board and batten walls in John & Alice’s bedroom, and then painted one full wall, and then parts of two other walls.The color I chose is Alabaster from Sherwin Williams.I really do love the color (although the blue on the upper wall still throws me a bit–it’ll eventually be painted a neutral color and then wallpapered.) But what I’m not sold on just yet is Sherwin

Actually, 95% of day 3 was spent finishing up the caulking, wood fillering (what do you mean that’s not a word!?), sanding, and prepping the walls for priming and painting. I probably could have gotten some of the priming finished, but when I was finally ready for it, I realized that…well…I had left the primer at home

SATC2 Premieres in London with Hair Extensions, Hats and an Homage

It’s baaaaaccck. Staying true to her SATC London premiere look from 2008 , Sarah Jessica Parker wowed the Brits with yet another Alexander McQueen frock topped with a stunner of a Philip Treacy, ummm, hat I suppose you would call it. While the look she sported in 2008 fell on the wrong side of ‘ridiculous’ in my opinion, this choice I have to admit is wonderfully whimsical.

J & A Master Bedroom, Day 2:: More Board & Batten (and My Love For Caulk)

Yesterday was my second work day on John & Alice’s master bedroom. I finished installing all of the molding, and got about 1/3 of the caulking done.I just have to ask…what in the world did people do before caulk was invented?

Raspberry Tofu Dark Chocolate Ice Cream Cake

Tofu does not get any applause in my family.So I have to think of sneaking in this wonder protein in the most unsuspecting places.Like in the ice cream ,the silken tofu married so well with the intense berry flavor,leaving the picky eaters totally clueless about the disliked ingredient in it. The cake was specially made in jubilation of Nabeel’s seventh birth day.Yes,another healthfully blessed year.His asthma has shown significant improvement as he is growing.Watching the diet for low sugar ,low fat foods ,wholesome fruits,vegetables and grains immensely helped in improving his condition.My efforts to get him to eat the best aren’t always success,there are some foods he absolutely cannot stand, and tofu is one of those.But I can’t give up ,the ever pleasing seemed perfect to incorporate the healthy food.
