MIT professor Barbara Liskov has been honoured with Turing Award . Google Inc and Intel Corp supported, Turing Award is one of the most prestigious honors in computing, which is given for helping to make computer programs more reliable, secure and easy to use. This time Turing Award worth $250,000 has been given to a Massachusetts Institute of Technology professor.

World’s largest mobile carrier, China Mobile is in talks with Taiwan’s three major mobile phone network operators to cooperate on roaming services. Chairman of China Mobile, Wang Jianzhou said talks had been held with Chunghwa Telecom, Taiwan mobile and Far EasTone Telecommunications about potential cooperative arrangements. Wang Jianzhou added the firm also hopes to cooperate with Taiwan phone makers to develop mobile devices

World’s largest software company, Microsoft Corp is developing a feature in its new operating system that allows users to turn off Internet Explorer and other key Microsoft programs. The new feature is a major step for the software giant, which has been accused by competitors and regulators of forcing consumers to run its own software, squeezing rivals’ offerings out of the marketplace. The new design will make it easier for users to remove any traces of Internet Explorer from their desktop, although the software will remain installed on the computer, and allow them to run other browsers more smoothly

Amazon.com Inc has launched an online videogame trade-in store, granting credit at the online retail giant to customers who send in used games. According to a company blog post from Amazon, “Amazon Video Games Trade-In is a new service that enables you to trade in your games for an Amazon.com Gift Card”. Customers use a prepaid shipping label to send a used videogame to Amazon and receive credit in return they can use to purchase items on Amazon.com

Years ago, when computers were large and small screens, someone guessed simple module to install the camera in such a gadget like a mobile phone … A little caricatured, but the fact remains: the first camera made plohonkie images with a resolution of CIF (352h288) and less. Contemporary same camera (in a different name cameras with an integrated GSM-module does not) does not only good photo, but it is decent for the quality of the video.

The T-Mobile G1 (previously known as the HTC Dream) is an Internet-enabled smartphone designed by High Tech Computer Corporation of Taiwan. The G1 will be the first phone to the market that will use the Android mobile device platform.[1][2] The phone is part of an open standards effort of the Open Handset Alliance.[3] It was released for pre-order through T-Mobile on September 23, 2008, and planned for availability in stores on October 22, 2008 in the US.[4][5][2] It is scheduled to be released in the UK on October 30, 2008, and the rest of Europe (at least in Germany, Netherlands and Czech Republic) in early 2009. It is priced starting at $179 for existing T-Mobile customers if purchased with a two-year T-Mobile voice and data plan, and $399 without a contract.[6] G1 comes in three colors brown, black and white
