Breaking News: Steelers stripped of Super Bowl Win

Barack Obama has said that it is important for judges to show empathy.Following his lead, the NFL has reviewed last year’s Super Bowl and they have come to the conclusion that the referees did not show the desired level of empathy for the underdog Arizona Cardinals.The Steelers have had a historical advantage over the Cardinals since their franchise has won the Super Bowl on numerous occasions. In contrast, the Cardinals were never given an opportunity to play in the big game.

MTV Movie Awards – A Jewelry Fashion Round Up

Yellow gold, blue gemstones and layered bangles were the top three jewelry trends emerging from the MTV Movie Awards last night, as teen idols from a sultry Vanessa Hudgens to a sophisticated Miley Cyrus rocked the red carpet Teen vampire phenomenon, Twilight , took most of the top honors, with a gawky Kristen Stewart looking like she might vomit every time she took the stage – even dropping her golden popcorn statue when accepting her Best Female Performance award. Medford, Oregon – Fake Diamond Scam Alert

The Medford Police Department is warning the public about a “fake diamond scam” that is specifically targeting Hispanic Community Members.On 052809, the Police Department received the report that a 30 year old Hispanic female Eagle Point resident had been approached just outside the Rogue Valley Mall by a Hispanic male adult.  He displayed 2 “diamonds” and indicated that he wanted to sell them in order to raise money to pay medical bills for his wife, who had been injured in an auto accident.  W

The Obama Example: Making ‘Date Nights’ a Priority

Associated Press With all the recent news coverage of the First Couple’s “date night,” I tried to remember the last time my husband and I had our own night out on the town: The most recent “date” I could think of was a birthday dinner at a nearby restaurant–over a year ago. It’s not that my husband and I don’t take time to show our appreciation of each other, but it’s usually via small gestures like cards, thoughtful gifts or just enjoying a quiet evening together at home after the kids have gone to bed. (There was one weekend getaway just before the birth of our daughter a year and a half ago, when my parents graciously babysat our then-toddler son for two days, but that was more of a one-time indulgence, rather than something we’re able to repeat on a regular basis.) So even though our relationship doesn’t seem to suffer for the lack of fancy restaurants, the Obamas’ example made me wonder whether we shouldn’t treat ourselves more often to a night out.

Giga-byte Technology displays CULV Laptop at Computex Taipei 2009

Giga-byte Technology revamped a netbook that takes advantage of touchscreen and tablet functions in Microsoft Windows 7 and put its first laptop with an Intel CULV (consumer ultra-low voltage) microprocessor inside on display at Computex Taipei 2009 on Monday. The TouchNote T1028 netbook sports a 10.1-inch touchscreen that swivels so that the screen can be turned around folded down to transform it into a tablet PC. The netbook is an update to its first netbook with the same function, but the main difference this time is the Windows 7 software, which includes functions that support both the touchscreen capability and the tablet mode.
