Over the last few weeks I have been looking at how to buy the right Christmas gifts for people we don’t know too well, such as distant relatives. This week I’d like to look at another difficult choice; the gift for a new lover. Although this may seem quite difficult at first, buying for a new love in our life is at least exciting, which gives it the edge over buying for a colleague you hardly know in a secret Santa! Buying for someone you have just started seeing (or would like to start seeing) romantically is a thrilling prospect but the danger here is appearing to be too over the top.
